Was wäre der Film ohne Sound? Nun sobald kein textlicher Dialog vorhanden ist, versucht der menschliche Verstand über das Ohr den Inhalt zu bilden. Die Filmemacher haben daraus gelernt, Inhalte über das Ohr zu verpacken. Im Mittelpunkt dieser Aufgabe steht der Sounddesigner/Musiker der eine Aussage formt und dadurch einen Inhalt in den Film kreiert, aus seiner Sicht wie die Welt klingt. Wir beginnen also in die Welt zu hören, wie er sie sieht! Synthesizers haben diesbezüglich neue Dimensionen geschaffen, die mit herkömmlichem Orchester nicht zu machen sind. Viel Aufmerksamkeit wird in dieser BBC-Dok dem Musiker Vangelis geschenkt, der endlich mal auch über den Soundtrack "Blade Runner" spricht.
